President Jim Miller called the meeting to order. Ron Barnard led the Pledge Salute. David Johnson played the piano and led in “God Bless America” and the Rotary Song.

David Leach Has arthritic pain – He is at Knolls West Convalescent & Residential care in Victorville. Dave is able to take calls. Call his cell number and give him encouragement.
Big Bear Idol is this weekend – February 22, 2014 Barbara and John King is in charge of the event. There are 10 contestants. Please come and support them. Rotarians are encouraged to bring cookies or snacks for the refreshments.

Don Bremer made a report of the results from February 14, 2014 Hospital Fund-raiser.
Served 236 meals – Total Income from the Dinner, Grants, Sponsorship, Live Auction, Silent Auction, etc. $32,906.00. Total Expenses $1,818.00 Net Income of $31,087.00.
We will have a Rotary placque on 3 rooms at the hospital. Big Success!!!
Walter Con – Fine Hair Guy Recognition
Our new members were congratulated to the tune of $10.00 each: John Vasquez, Dayan Anderson and John Nierderkorn.
John King was recognized for have a pretty face (Barbara’s) $10.00.
Shirley Hartwick was fined $20.00 for being a new Great Grandma of twins ($10.00 each).
Dayan Anderson was recognized for her 40th Birthday - $40.00. She celebrated her day with our rotary club.
Renee Wagner- Owner of a new 2014 Chief Cherokee Limited. Because of John Stock’s expertise, she sold her old Cherokee for $800 over book. She was fined $30.00.
Anna Chilcoat is proud by the tune of $10.00 due to Drew admitted to the Glendale Orchestra.
Scott Huele was on Channel 6 Friday AM. He was fined $10.00 due to a television Star.
Program: Yomar Cleary Chairman COAD – presented a good program. COAD is Community Organization Active in Disaster. COAD helps to create an awareness and assist in a community’s ability to mitigate, prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters, thus meeting human needs that provide for a safe, sanitary and secure community. Yomar is encouraging organziations (like Rotary) to sign up and be a part.
In the event of a disaster, the community will depend on a data base of volunteers to participate and cover all areas of concern. It was an interesting presentation. Thank you to Yomar Cleary, Chair (909) 214-6900 for more information.
