Reminder and sign-up sheet for Sep-Ock-Novfest passed around for sign-ups….excellent response…thanks to all. In addition to the sign-up sheet an information sheet on Oktoberfest clothing (Dirndl, etc) was distributed. Those interested in Oktoberfest clothing can go online:

The substitute prez forgot to remind everyone of the upcoming Elderlove golf tournament being sponsored by one of our own Rotarians—Shannon Shea. Friday, September 7th at the Big Bear Golf Course. Call Pamela Scannell at 909-544-7341 for Reservations.

Dr Mary Suzuki, school superintendent and one our members, gave an excellent presentation on our school district. A short video was shown featuring all the k-12 programs (STEAM, fine arts, sports, environmental studies, field trips, EarlyAct, Interact etc). In addition, Dr. Suzuki shared the wonderful academic successes of our student. GREAT presentation Dr. Suzuki!!
In conclusion, substitute PP Peavy, had five participants (John Friel, Maria Martell, Elena Peavy, John Stock and Tony Tamberchi) demonstrate the “Rotary: Is it the Truth (or a lie)” quiz:
- Singing on a bus from L.A. to Dallas
- Dr of Automotive
- Favorite flower
- Sleeping with a 13’ Boa constrictor
- Rotarian for 15 years
Shows the power of the Rotary 4-way test—all five were winners!!
