PROGRAM
PDG Manzoor Massey gave an excellent presentation sharing the "Hope" that has been given to so many by Rotarians like US! Manzoor gave numerous statistics regarding how loneliness contributes to illness, how a smile makes a difference. He has adopted 3 schools in India because he is a believer in education for all. These schools have 650 students and 350 are orphans. Manzoor, along with other clubs, is supporting a Global Grant for these schools which lack latrines. The goal of the grant is to build the latrines and a place for food prep, all in an effort to be sustaining and to prevent diseases. $22k is needed to complete the project. Our club has committed $6k in DDFunds for the project. Manzoor is planning a visit to India in March-all Rotarians are invited so contact Manzoor if interested.
